Description
By the end of 2025, the bulk of construction activities were completed; notably it was paved in July 2025, approximately 10 months ahead of the project baseline schedule. The construction activities that completed in summer-fall 2025 include safety items such as road crossings and wooden fencing, parking lot renovations at South Sudbury Station and the Assabet River Rail Trail - East Hudson Trailhead, trail signage, and historical artifacts such as setting the diamond railroad track crossing in the MCRT / Bruce Freeman Rail Trail roundabout. The fabrication of HAWK traffic lights, aka Pedestrian Hybrid Beacons, delayed the installation at the crossings until Spring 2026.
